What is KI-DO (YOGA)?
It is a combination of Shiatsu, Reiki and Yoga has resulted in a unique new practice routine for wellness and health. Iis an innovative body-mind-sprit fitness program for personal growth. It is based on Shiatsu yoga, massive breath work, moving-meditation with the ancient wisdom and natural intelligence of the body, mind and sprit. What is Diaphragmatic breathing?
We do Diaphragmatic breathing, abdominal breathing, belly breathing, deep breathing or costal breathing is the act of breathing deep into one's lungs by flexing one's diaphragm rather than breathing shallowly by flexing one's rib cage. This deep breathing is marked by expansion of the stomach (abdomen) rather than the chest when breathing. It is generally considered a healthier and fuller way to ingest oxygen, and is often used as a therapy for hyperventilation and anxiety disorders.
What is SeiTai?
"Sei Tai" basically means "properly conditioned body." The term Seitai (or Sei-Tai) was created by Noguchi after the Second World War. It represents a Japanese inner art of healing based on the mastery of ki based on re-adjustment techniques applied on a person.
Some call it as "Japanese Yoga" since we share similar belief and some of movements are alike for thousand years. Human body has limited flexibility therefore, it's natural to have similar movements. SeiTai = Chiropractic Ki = Energy flow yoga self-conditioning class. Self-conditioning SeiTai exercise classes balance your alignments to reduce pain and stiffness in your body. The aim is to prevent from stress and pain in the future. The exercise corrects your body posture so that you don't look like an old person. It is an anti-aging exercise for your posture and balance.
The exercise is gentle for all ages and any conditions. It is not focusing on stretch. It focuses on relaxing your joint with ease so that Ki = energy flow with your blood and water in the body.

What is Ki Flow?
Ki is the Japanese word describing a person's "internal force". Ki Flow is an exercise system that combines traditional Japanese Ki exercises with modern acupressure and chiropractic techniques. It is a great conditioning exercise for Yoga and other activities in life. Ki Flow consists of flows of gentle exercises that focus on restoring and healing one's well being by cultivating and increasing the flow of Ki, reducing the blockage, and enhancing overall circulation. It's particular beneficial in relieving stress, reducing aches and tensions in muscles and joints, and improving your digestions. How does it work to loose weight?
When the Ki=Energy moves smoothly in your body, it enhance the circulation of your blood and moisture. The waste in your body travels in the flow to come out from your mouth, nostrils and pores. All movements are focusing on correcting alignments, loosing up joints, and balancing your body by using chiropractic treatments and acupressure massage method in the program. Secrets trimming movements from Japan is introduced during the classes for slimming effect. This combination of work naturally wake up your body, intestines to loose your weight in the most natural way. However,
I've notice that students who are so eager to loose weight are not loosing weight faster. The reason is the brain/mind is fully activated and stop the energy flow in the class. I can feel that those students' energy is saying "I want to loose a lot of weight NOW. Are you sure? This seems too slow for me to get result." Question to you is how long you have that body condition? Answer 1: If you take it slow, it will need same years of reconditioning the body to go back to your ideal body unless you do plastic surgery to cut those fat out. (You must know how muscles become after the surgery. Do a lot of research to trim your body in unnatural way.) Answer 2: If you take massive actions (take classes/exercise regularly), you will start to be friend with your body and will know how to communicate with your body to trim it down faster. The program focuses on harmony of your mind and body connection.
I do loose 1~2.5 lb each time after the exercise. It works and I believe in so. In order to trim the body, energy needs to be flowing in the relaxed state of mind and body. The expectation of loosing weight instantly cannot recognized that your body, mind and life style need to be changed accordingly to loose weight. Most students who take classes for relaxation do get better result. Because the body will change your life style with better habit naturally. If you are tuning into each class, this program make your body talks to you about what feels healthy to take or not and etc. If you want quick solution to loose weight and cannot wait for your body to talk to you, then you need to take a private session. In the private, I will talk to your brain/mind that is controlling your body and habit.

I feel so dizzy. Is that ok?
Yes. Do little by little to send more Oxygen into your brain.
If you are standing or sitting all day, sending all blood and Oxygen only down from your brain to feet, you may want to send back some Oxygen back to your brain. It makes you relax and rejuvenated. If you are not used to having Oxygen into your head, you may feel dizzy. Rest for few breaths and do it slow and little as your body like.
I cannot do as you do.
It takes time. Everyday, condition changes and even I cannot do the same things as always. Just get an idea of how it looks like and ask your body how much it can work with you today. Let's do little by little. Rushing your self creates stress and stiffens your body. That's opposite of what Ki Flow want in the class. This class let you communicate with your body and do little at your comfort zone. That is enough to make you healthy today!
Is this good exrcise for pregnat women?
YES!!! It adjust pelvis to hold your baby in the right direction, make you breath correctly, open groin area, loosen up joints to reduce swollen, make your arms and legs stronger... It's good for after the birth to trim your body, too.
Why do we work on joints?
That is where wastes piled up and wastes block "Ki" to flow. "Ki" flow by using three paths; water in your body, blood and "Keiraku (lymph channel)" If the path ways are blocked, the area gets stiff and eventually cause pain. It is also cause for cold feet and cold hands.
Why is this exercise/treatments is good for people with constipation problem?
Because, when your alignment is corrected, "Ki" can flow smoothly and let your intestines work at best which is naturally how our body should function without any drugs.
How many men are usually in your class?
In general, more women than men. All classes and workshops are for EVERYBODY who seeks health and beauty inside out. Please forget about others. You come to the class for yourself.
What is the range of age who takes your classes?
Usually between 20 to 91 years old. Yes, an oldest person who was taking the class was 91 years old in Japan. She was so healthy, and she had seldom seen doctor.
If I am late, I cannot take your class at all?
One rule: Come early to the class with open mind to recieve the benefit. The flow in the room is important to this program.If you come late, you will have totally different energy in you such as over stimulated, rushing, pushing, shaking, confusing energy. Ki Flow cannot work with that energy. In other words, you won't get any benefit out of the class. So, it's much better to come to the class next time. Be early. This rule is to also protect others to get influenced and disturbed by the "late energy."
What is REIKI and "KI" is coming from the same root?
Yes. REIKI is originally from Japan, however, it seems that REIKI is more popular in US than that of in Japan. Everybody can do REIKI and be a practitioner.
It's not difficult thing. It's a healing touch.
You get healing power by simply touching your dogs and cats as well. I think most of animals except for modern stressed-human have natural healing power. You can spend more time with your loved one and touch for healing!
REIKI is the Life Force Energy that flows through all living things.
This "KI" healing modality treats the whole person--mind, body and spirit--and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well being. Reiki and "KI" clears, straightens, and heals the chakra pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow.
Reiki "KI" Energy can help to heal physical ailments and does well in combination with other healing methods. Difference in the treatment is that the REIKI practitioner uses a gentle touch technique that works by raising the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body. In other words, you will need REIKI master/practitioner to work with you. However, Ki FLow exercise don't need another person to work on your well-being and health. You have total control and own your body and mind to heal by yourself. Isn't it wonderful?
Will I look young as you look?

Do you think it's better than Aerobics?
It depends on what you want as you like one Art over the other Art painting. However, many feels good after Aerobics and many feel uncomfortable pain and injury in the other times or simply it's just too much. Sometimes, these hard exercises challenge you hard even your body is not at the best today. Ki Flow doesn't injure you 99.99%. In Ki Flow(Reiki Yoga), You either feel great and amazing or just feel fine when you cannot really let go of noise in your brain during the exercise. But, that is your brain saying it, and your body is still happy doing Ki Flow. Learn to let go, and focus on your breathing.
Is it good idea to eat after Ki Flow(Reiki Yoga) exercise/treatment?
Usually, if you have successful session within yourself, Ki Flow makes your body so happy as it is with empty stomach for that night. You can eat dinner but eat 4 hours before your bedtime.
Does this exercise work for everybody?
Mostly yes. But people with closed mind or have so much noise (thinking) in brain during the session/treatment cannot receive much benefit. Also people who believe in only medications/drugs to be healthy won't feel much. All drugs are called drug. To test it, take 100 pills then you know it is poison after all. It's not natural to your body. It's passive treatment for temporary reasons. And it's good if it stays temporary. Ki Flow is active treatment for your long healthy life where you own your body and you know how to feel your body. Ki Flow makes you listen to your body more. So, you will be your own doctor in the future. You take charge of your own health and keep doctors away. You have that natural calling in you. Ki Flow makes you remind of it.
