Hi Aya, I really liked the class a lot! I need a lot more meditation in my routine and you do a lot in your class. And I loved the stretching too. As a golfer and dancer, I'm always getting out of alignment. At one point, I was seeing a chiropractor once a month. Your class is perfect for me. Over the past year, I've taken a few psychic classes from Berkeley Psychic Institute in Los Altos and they teach you how to run energy thru your body during meditation. The more meditation I can get in, the better for me because I never do anywhere near enough. - O.

I have been taking the traditional class for several months. I had cold temperature in my body and feet but, it warmed up a bit more, and my stiff shoulder and back got so much lighter.

I had strong pain around my right ankle from broken born injury. I've been to see a chiropractor and acupuncturist constantly, but the pain stayed. I was forced to stay with this exercise by my best friend and amazingly the pain started to disappear after 5 months. This was not mentioned in the benefit of the exercise, but I figured that since my energy flow without any blockage it healed the pain block. Not only that I become kinder person. I like the class very much. It was interesting that I did not feel anything specific after the class other than having the feeling that I had just work out (like when you go to the gym) which is not the case, because the class is very gently. However, this morning I did notice a difference, my legs felt very relax and overall my energy was very peaceful. Thank you again for sharing this new (at least for me) practice which seems to be something that can really help my condition(auto immune diseases).-M.E.

Abs After class last night I felt tired, but rejuvenated, and today my posture was better and I felt energy going up and down my body. My abs are a bit sore but not too bad. So, I feel very good about the class and would like to continue. -B.

A friend of mine forwarded to me this link to Japanese Yoga. Since I love yoga, I decided to try it. During class I was a little hesitant to do some of the poses as I have had some sharp wrist pain for a couple months. After the first class, the pain was almost half gone. The week after, it has become intermittent. With massage, I am able to help the pain diminish. I look forward to future classes. Aya is a very calming spirit and I enjoy being in her class. The Seitai exercise is a gentle but very effective work out. The immediate affects I felt were: gain flexibility, lost weight and able to bend my injured knee which was almost impossible only a few weeks before I started the Seitai. But the greatest benefit, I feel, is the ability to feel "centered" which is great especially if you are into meditation and holistic approaches in life.
The exercise is very soothing and the instructor always emphasizes to proceed "on your accord" and "communication with your body" which I greatly appreciate. I have taken other exercise programs that push learners and I ended up injuring myself. The basic concept of "Ki" flow is very practical Eastern approach to heightening awareness. Somehow I find this exercise and the location of the Hakone Garden to be a powerful match to bring awareness to higher level; they resonate and synchronize inner energy and I feel much cleansed and focused each time I attend the class.
I am very glad I have the opportunity to learn Seitai and hope many more people will try it. - Alyshia Sjahrial
